The Kogi, meaning "jaguar" in the Kogi language, are an indigenous ethnic group that lives in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, in northern Colombia. Their language belongs to the Chibchan family.They are almost entirely monolingual and maintain the only unconquered Andean civilisation. They are descendants of the Tairona culture.
